A year Later…

Written July 24, 2019

1 year ago was my original post about the journey that led me to getting these arrows. Today, they are even more special to me than they were when Capucine Pillion drew them. Because they tell a story. A story that I never know how to tell when people in passing point and ask where these places are. Or when a relative tries to give me a hard time about "putting that junk all over my body."

Also because it's a journey that I'm still on.

10 days ago I returned from my 7th trip to Eglise de la Brie. I'm still emotionally unpacking the trip, the things that God taught me and honestly, I'm in denial that I'm back in the US. It's also the 1st time that Capucine got to see her original artwork permanently fixed on someone. She said "it is so weird" a few times and shook her head in disbelief but it was a joy to get to see her experience that.

If it all ended tomorrow - I wouldn't regret a thing. These are reminders of not only places but people. People who's lives have changed mine. People who have given of themselves and made a difference. People who have followed God's Greatest Commandment: Love God. Love People.

No matter where your journey takes you, I hope that you have people in your life that do the same for you. If not, let me know. I've got friends on 2 continents & I can "point" you in the right direction!
